The Tesla Current, also known as high frequency current, is characterized by a rapid rate of oscillation. It has various uses such as killing bacteria on problem skin and penetrating products on dry or aging skin. This current is commonly used for facial and scalp treatments. Its primary action is thermal, producing heat without causing muscular contractions. 

Direct High Frequency: The esthetician holds the electrode and works in circular motions 3 to 5 minutes. Use directly on dry skin or lay dry gauze over face and work. The current will have a more stimulating effect when the current is applied over a dry cloth.

Indirect High Frequency: known as Viennese massage, relaxation, toning and stimulating effect on the skin. The client holds the electrode while the esthetician massages the area being treated.
