The REMs device combines RF, microcurrent, red and infrared light with three intensity levels, and on sensitive areas like around the eyes it is possible to feel muscle fasciculations or see twitching even on the lowest microcurrent setting; this is a sign of neuromuscular stimulation, not tissue damage. However, any new or persistent muscle or eye twitching should be treated cautiously: discontinue use for now, avoid the immediate periorbital area when you resume, use only a thin, water-based conductive medium, and if the twitching or any discomfort persists off-treatment you should stop using the device and consult a physician or eye-care professional before continuing.
